self-help.
After reading a whole bunch of Self-help books, I can say it really all boils down to those things: - wake up early - set S.M.A.R.T goals for yourself, and commit to them. - have a morning routine that is at least comprised of: - not hitting the snooze button on your alarm, but get up - not looking at your phone/messages/emails first thing when you wake up - but start your day with a win (making your bed, running, hitting the gym) - have a process for those things, and others: - read lots of books - write a journal - go to the gym - have a healthy diet - pay off your debts, and then invest long term by using the law of compounding interest - work: - cut off distractions to do deep work - use the pomodoro technique, or a variant, to get up and stretch every now and then, to avoid hurting your body by sitting too much - mind: - visualize your good life in your mind - take a walk to think - clear your mind. meditate every day - develop a growth mindset (you can always get better and there is always opportunity for growth) - use the loss-aversion bias to your advantage, by thinking about what you might lose if you don't achieve your goals you set for yourself - plan your days ahead - relationships: - surround yourself with positive people that will challenge you to grow - take time with your friends to avoid feeling alone - take ownership of your failures (don't blame others) - replace bad habits by making new ones that are good - reclaim your time by planning it, before other people plan it for you. - practice saying No. People will respect you and you will respect your self. And it will enable you to say Yes to the right things. - don't avoid expenses, but choose them wisely. They can be great motivators to get you to put efforts towards achieving your goals and keeping a growth mindset.
